PAY LIVING WAGE FOR ALL CINEWORLD STAFF

PAY LIVING WAGE FOR ALL CINEWORLD STAFF
The Issue
All Cineworld staff deserve the Living Wage
Cineworld is the biggest cinema chain in the country, employing approximately 3,000 Front of House staff on zero hour contracts, paying them below the Living Wage (which is £9.15 per hour in London and £7.85 in the regions while Cineworld pays just above the legal minimum of £6.50).
People who work in cinemas have to work long, unsociable hours for a lower rate of pay than the cinema tickets and food products that they are told to upsell.
1 hour of an employee's time is worth £6.80
1 cinema ticket is worth £9
1 popcorn and drink is worth £7.50
1 ticket to the Royal Ballet is worth £18.80
Many companies are paying less than the Living Wage, and it is time to end "in-work poverty".
Mooky Greidinger, CEO of Cineworld, please pay the staff at the following 80 cinemas the Living Wage:
Aberdeen, Aldershot, Ashford, Ashton-under-Lyne, Bedford, Birmingham, Boldon, Bolton, Bradford, Braintree, Brighton, Bristol, Burton upon Trent, Bury St. Edmonds, Cambridge, Cardiff, Castleford, Cheltenham, Chesterfield, Chichester, Crawley, Didcot, Didsbury, Dundee, Eastbourne, Edinburgh, Falkirk, Glasgow, Gloucester, Harlow, Haverhill, High Wycombe, Hull, Huntingdon, Ipswich, Isle of Wight, Jersey, Leigh, Liverpool, Llandudno, Chelsea, Enfield, Feltham, Fulham Road, Chelsea, Hammersmith, Haymarket, Ilford, Staples Corner, the O2, Wandsworth, Wembley, West India Quay, Wood Green, Luton, Middlesbrough, Milton Keynes, Newport, Northampton, Nottingham, Rochester, Rugby, Runcorn, Sheffield, Shrewsbury, Solihull, Southampton, St. Helens, St. Neots, Stevenage, Stockport, Swindon, Telford, Wakefield, Weymouth, Wolverhampton, Witney, Yeovil.
Please sign and share the petition if you believe that nobody should live a life of poverty wages.
