Bring Awareness To Abuse At MMS

I would like to bring awareness to child abuse in my middle school.
1 out of 3 girls and 1 out of 5 boys will be sexually abused before they reach age 18.
2.9 million cases of child abuse are reported every year in the United States.
I know for sure multiple current students at my middle school who are suffering emotional and physical abuse in silence. These children have done nothing wrong, but they are being treated horribly by family members.
One of them is a bright, lovely young woman. She gets top grades in school, and is active in clubs and activities. However, she goes home everyday to a mother who yells at her, hits her, and threatens to beat her regularly.
Another is a fine young man. He does well in school, and always has a cluster of friends around him. But at home, his dad hits him regularly, and this has caused serious problems.
And yet another girl moved away this past summer. Her mother would hit her, pull her hair, and act angrily towards her daughter often.
But... it's not about the people I know. It's about the ones at MMS who don't know someone cares. The ones who feel alone.
I would like to ask my school administrators to provide more support. Hang posters around the school giving resources, reminding the students that the counselors are always available for them, instead of having the, "Everything's fine" approach they do now. Let these children know that there are people willing to help.
Please sign and help me get my middle school to vastly improve the lives of these children.
