CEDAW is the United Nations Convention for the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women. It is important to implement this on the city level to adopt the principles of CEDAW in city codes, promote gender equity, promote the rights of women in the workplace, and urge the US government to ratify CEDAW nationally!

We urge you to support the local ratification of the principles of CEDAW in the city of Monterey. CEDAW is a United Nations Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women and its principles promote the rights of women at home, in the workplace, and supports the eradication of violence against women. Supporting this convention in Monterey promotes women's rights locally and sends a loud, bold message to our state and national government that grass roots people like us want the US to ratify CEDAW now.

Please stand with us and all those who support gender equity and pass CEDAW now!
