Save the 235 MUSD Teachers who are being cut

The Montebello Unified School District (MUSD) has approved the elimination of 333 district employees, 235 being teacher positions, across its many schools including: Bell Gardens High, Vail High, Schurr High, Montebello High, Eastmont Intermediate, Bell Gardens Intermediate, and many more. This was done in accordance to the Los Angeles County Office of Education's (LACOE) demand of a $17 million cut in our budget. The explanation for making the demand was that it was "As a result of a lack of budget discipline".
The decision, however, is not a proper action to take as instead it affects the quality of education students receive throughout the many schools under MUSD administration and the lives of the passionate teachers who are being cut and forced into unemployment. All in all, it wouldn't even solve the financial mismanagement happening within MUSD and would only be a temporary solution since, of course, the financial mismanagement is done by the people in charge of the finances.
This is why I call for LACOE to repeal its demand of a $17 million budget cut and instead for the MUSD Chief Business Officer Ruben Rojas to be fired, along with investigation on board president Lani Cupchoy and board members such as Benjamin Cardenas.
As a student of a MUSD school (Bell Gardens High), I see how full the classes already are with some having more than 40 students, and can only imagine how much fuller the classes will get with this cut. I too, like other students, know many of the teachers who are being cut personally and have seen how strong their passion for teaching is. The teachers themselves are put into an undeserving situation in which they are distraught thinking of how much this will affect them and their families. Lastly, with the elimination of teachers, comes the elimination of curriculum and extracurricular activities only these teachers are able to provide to the students.
This is why I call for we, as the people, to stand up for what is just and not allow MUSD and LACOE to continue to take advantage of minorities and believe we will simply comply to their their wrongful decisions.
