Angel is a sweet, sensitive Pug. Her abusive former owner gave her to me & is now seeking to take her back via a lawsuit against me. Angel was locked in a small cage for weeks at a time with no food or water. Neighbors and maintenance men had to enter the apartment to let her out. When I first met Angel, she was dirty, greasy, smelly, needed shots, needed nails clipped, needed teeth brushed, and was very frightened of her then-owner. Any time he walked by, she cowered. If he said her name, she ran to me. Then I began witnessing it myself. He threw Angel into a very large, fast-moving river during Spring - mountain run-off season! She was terrified! I had to run down the river bank and jump in to get her. Her former owner laughed the whole time. AJ (former abuser) is now giving away a cat on Facebook that he "doesn't have enough time for." Please help! I am disabled and cannot afford a lawyer. No legal clinic will help. Angel's abuser is trying to make me give up by drowning me in legal documents. I spend all my time attempting legal research & writing to save my baby. Angel has an amazing life now; let's keep it that way!
