Paul Caliari, of Monroeville, Pa is currently serving a two-year term on the Gateway School Board. A federal lawsuit filed on Jan. 1, claims a text message he sent to other board members was racially charged.

The suit claims the school board chose Don Holl, a white man, as the district’s new athletic director in February over Korie Morton-Rozier, a white woman who is married to an African American, after Caliari inquired in that text whether she “date(ed) the darkies.”

The community of Monroeville is demanding Paul Caliari's resignation as this behavior goes against the Gateway School District Equity Code 802.
