During the May 3rd, 2021 council meeting, Council President Miriam Cohen pointed out some residents to another council member and then stated she was unprepared to take questions from them and referred to Monroe resident as a pig. Her behavior clearly shows a disdain for the residents of Monroe, and the genuine concerns many have in the areas of overdevelopment and sky-high property taxes. Her unpreparedness on the issues and unwillingness to engage civilly with her constituents shows she is unfit to hold elected office. The residents of Monroe clearly deserve elected officials who don't have such a profound disdain for their constituents. This is a chance for Acting Mayor Stephen Dalina and Council to put the interests of Monroe Township above partisan politics and call for her immediate resignation.
