Hello friends,

We are so encouraged by the response to this petition.  There is much we can do when we come together as a community!  So far, we have over 400 signers and it's growing, but we need your help to get it out there!  Please share this with friends and neighbors far and wide (in Monroe County, of course).  

This is not a petition against anything in particular (even though the chitter chatter about bringing in a data center definitely got us moving), but rather it is a petition FOR the right to have a say in what goes on in our county.  It is FOR local governance and local control of our local communities.

Our plan is to gather as many signatures as we can, and then meet with the county commissioners to see if we can get this on the agenda for the next meeting in March.  We will keep you posted!  It would be great if we could get this passed and protect our community.
