The Issue

We the undersigned call for incoming Councillors of Magor, Rogiet and Undy, once elected, to prepare and build a strong case for pedestrian improvements to the B4245.

Many people in Undy and Rogiet would like to see a safe walkway where people can walk or cycle between the village of Undy and Rogiet.

This would allow pedestrians to walk safely without walking on uneven grass verges.

The benefits of this would:

1) Decrease isolation

2) Allow people to travel safely on foot and bicycles

3) Provide access to current public transport solutions such as Severn Tunnel Junction station.

4) Increase public health by providing a safe walking route.

5) More people becoming inclined to walk which may reduce traffic/carbon footprint.

With many 'improvements' to the road network and the proposals for the M4 relief road, pedestrians are being forgotten about.
