The Monash shops, along with a primary school and preschool, retirement village, new day-care centre, churches and a recreational oval, has provided over 5,400 residents with facilities and services for over 40 years. 

Our facilities, shops and services support businesses and community (families, elderly, couples, singles, children, etc) to participate in the community, meet everyone's needs and make Monash a great place to live. 

The current redevelopment proposal to demolish the shops and build another childcare centre has not considered the diverse needs of our community. It also doesn't apply good urban planning principles with a vision for Monash. 

Please sign this petition to ask the planning committee to consider community needs through proper consultation, a needs analysis and urban planning that supports residents, businesses and the broader community.
