With so many people that want to qualify as CA(SA) and the chronic shortage of Qualified Accountants in South Africa, Monash South Africa's PGDA has become a great necessity. 

Why? Remember, you do PGDA/CTA so that you can write ITC ( formerly QE1). And, well Monash's PGDA has a very high pass rate at Board level, despite their programme being still so young (new). This means that if you do Monash's PGDA, and you apply yourself as much as you have been applying yourself to your studies wherever you are, there is almost a guarantee that you will pass ITC. We have examples of people who were deemed non-CA material in other universities, but are hardworkers and very meticulous! And these people went on to pass PGDA at Monash and have since passed ITC ( QE1).

Why Capetown? There is a great deal of students who are very keen on becoming CA's and have no means of attending the Monash PGDA as it is currently being offered only in Johannesburg.

I would like to implore you to sign this petition so that we can reach as many students ( possibly more than a 1000). Many people will say the price is high at Monash, but to be honest, there is no HIGHER price than being a CA(SA) and the perks that come with it. You just have to look at the CEO's of the JSE, as an example....Look at the many Boards of companies. Look at Brian Joffe, Sizwe Nxasana, Wiseman Nkuhlu, Tom Boardman....Just have a look and then tell us whether there is a price higher than being a CA(SA).
