The Issue

To Scott Nash, MOM’s Organic Market CEO,

As a community of customers, we demand that MOM’s Organic Market immediately extend the same economic benefits to unionized stores as you do for your non-union locations. We have learned that the company has created a wage gap, by offering higher weekend pay and more holiday pay boosts to non-union stores, after Hampden workers with Teamsters Local 570 negotiated to introduce weekend pay increases to begin with. This disparity has been intentionally designed to put your unionized store at a disadvantage, and it stands in contradiction to your stated core values, such as “We rise by lifting others”.

As a community, we stand with your unionized workers. We will choose to spend our money elsewhere until workers at your top-selling Hampden location are extended the same benefits that you have given to other stores.
