The minecraft community has been struggling with the height limit for a long time. Big strides were made when the height limit was increased from layer 128 to 256. However, capping the height limit at layer 256 is still very limiting to ones creativity. With and increased height limit, the added possibilities would be nearly endless. Increasing the height limit in Minecraft would be useful for map makers and creators a like, as players will be able to build taller structures which could be built at a 1:1 scale.
