The Issue

The proposed roundabout with a non-yielding right turn lane onto Woodland Ave at the intersection of Woodland Ave and Canoebrook Parkway is concerning to local residents. A roundabout at this busy intersection could lead to traffic confusion and potentially dangerous situations, particularly due to the planned nonyielding right turn lane.

A four-way stop sign intersection with additional speed bumps will ensure regulated traffic flow and also address the existing concern about speeding vehicles. As per the Federal Highway Administration, four-way stop sign intersections are proven to reduce fatal crashes by 77% and crashes causing injuries by 69% (Source: Federal Highway Administration). Turning this intersection into a four-way stop may thereby improve the safety for all road users in our community.

Let's advocate for a safer solution for the Woodland Ave / Canoebrook Parkway intersection. It's about our safety and the well-being of our community. If you agree that we should modify the planned roundabout into a more practical and safer four-way stop sign intersection with speed bumps, please sign this petition.
