Modify AirBNB Review Policy to include ToS / House Rules Violations
The Issue
Current AirBNB Review Disputes will allow a guest to leave a review, even if they have broken a Host's House Rules or Platform's Terms of Service.
If a Host approaches a guest concerning these rules or attempts to demand payment, more often than not, a guest will easily retaliate with a negative review. The result is an unsafe situation for the Host.
This petition is to solve this issue and protect hosts from having a bias review placed on their account by expanding protection under the "Moderating for bias" section.
Under the section, "Moderating for bias" there must be protection against guests who have violated a Host's House Rules and/or AirBNB's Terms of Service.
------------
Proposal
------------
Violation of Platform Terms of Service or House Rules
Reviews are subject to removal if the Guest has been shown to violate a Host's House Rules or Terms of Service. Supporting evidence must be provided.
Examples:
- Guest have arrived with additional undeclared guests
- Guest have violated No-Smoking Signs
- Guest have grossly exceeded check-in or check-out times
