We are a coalition of Norwalk parents and taxpayers advocating for a modernized approach to before- and after-school childcare partnerships within our district. As Norwalk Public Schools embarks on a critical search for its next Superintendent, we believe this leadership transition presents the perfect opportunity to evaluate and enhance the quality, standard policy structures, and economic accessibility of our community contracts.Rather than a combative dispute, we are calling for a proactive partnership review. We are urging the Board of Education to ensure the next Superintendent prioritizes standardizing childcare frameworks, implementing consistent safety and technology policies, and protecting baseline affordability for working families. We advocate utilizing the upcoming Superintendent Search Survey and the September 22 Community Session as collaborative, constructive avenues to build a stronger, more equitable future for Norwalk students.
