Protect Our Pride. Invest in Our Future!

To: Williamson County Parks & Recreation, Williamson County Commission, and Local Officials
From: Concerned Residents and Supporters of College Grove, Tennessee

📣 Why This Matters

Lions Club Park, located at 6665 Arno-College Grove Rd, has been the heart of our community for over 50 years. It is where families gather, children learn the foundations of sportsmanship, practice teamwork, and make friendships that will last a lifetime. But today, this cherished space is falling behind—its facilities are outdated, accessibility is limited, and safety features no longer meet modern standards.

College Grove is one of the fastest-growing areas in Williamson County. With new families moving in, youth sports expanding, and community needs evolving, our park must grow too.

🛠️ What We’re Asking For

We urge Williamson County leaders to prioritize and fund a full modernization of Lions Club Park, including:

  • ADA-compliant sanitary restrooms
  • Rust-free, modern play equipment
  • Improved lighting and security features
  • Renovated multi-sport athletic fields
  • Accessible walkways and trails
  • Family-friendly amenities
  • Expanded, well-lit, and safe parking areas

These upgrades will ensure the park is safe, welcoming, and functional for all residents, young and old, lifelong locals, and newcomers alike.

💬 Community Voices

Support for this project is overwhelmingly strong among College Grove families. The County Commission recently voted 19 to 22, one member abstained, and two members voted No. Regrettably, discussions and commission approvals regarding the modernization of Lions Club Park have occurred many times before. Following local elections, funds and resources for the project are  diverted to support new growth in the county. Families deserve a detailed comprehensive plan and actionable timeline to complete the project in its entirety,

District 2 Commissioners Judy Herbert and Betsy Hester—whose district includes Lions Club Park—have voiced support for this initiative for more than 25 years. Now, we call on them to demonstrate accountability, take action, and show the leadership needed to get this project done!

We, the undersigned, call on Williamson County Parks & Recreation and the County Commission to take immediate action to modernize Lions Club Park. Let us build a park that reflects the pride, growth, and future of College Grove.
