Mobilize the National Guard to Tackle Hagerstown’s Civic Unrest and Drug Crisis

The Issue

In recent times, Hagerstown, MD, has experienced surges in public unrest and a deepening drug epidemic. This has shaped a climate of fear and heightened tensions, impacting the safety and well-being of everyone in the community.

The Hagerstown City Police and Hagerstown Mayor and City Council say that a lack of resources prevents them from protecting the people of Hagerstown from dozens of shootings and are unable to do anything about the hundreds of homeless addicts wandering the streets of a city too small to provide services for this level of epidemic.

There is already a process in place for when a city does not have the resources to protect its citizens from a crisis - The National Guard.

The National Guard can be instrumental in effectively dealing with these crises and has a specific task force to disrupt and degrade illicit drug production and trafficking. This will not only restore law and order but also contribute towards substance use prevention and de-escalation. Let us all join hands in this crucial movement to make Hagerstown safe, secure, and free from drugs.

Stand up for your city by signing this petition and let's bring the peaceful change our community rightly deserves.
