Plastic bags are unnecessary with the amount of reusable bags available these days and pose a threat to the environment while filling up landfills.  Some major cities in California, Washington and Canada have instated this ban and Hawaii has been the first state in banning them, let's be the 2nd!  We can get our elected officials here in MN to begin to push this forward but we need support.  This site has provided lots of victories for many different causes and I hope that this one will be added to it's list of success stories.  Please sign this petition and start the landslide away from the landfill.
