         Help found this Tenth Mountain Division-inspired, two year mountain college geared towards ethnically diverse urban residents and veterans. Channeling elite WW II mountain warriors’ strength, heart, spirit, vision, and solidarity into empowering, uplifting, focusing fighters who have survived present/historical Terror/Oppression to lead rich, rewarding lives. Direct, indirect, help, connections, sharing this idea, funding ideas all greatly appreciated.

$600k to purchase mostly abandoned office building in Leadville’s center (already with gym, solar panels), comparable amount to Green renovate/convert to college.

“Ain’t going down” – Huddie “Leadbelly” Ledbetter/ “Eradicating Nazism so we can Evolve”

        Renewable-based, stone, two year college in Tenth Mountain Division Country (WWII training ground (Camp Hale) for winter, mountain warfare), in Leadville. From GEDs to upper-college level science, math, history, literature, writing, music, art, physiology, sports science, ultra running and biking, mountaineering, climbing, mixed martial arts, boxing, and wrestling. Black and white film of Jack Johnson working heavy and speed bags to Louis Armstrong is the blueprint. General Zhukov, Matthew Hansen, Crazy Horse's spirits inspire, guide, focus.

      Construction of residence halls and residential housing would be integrated into the curriculum, as well as the science and implementation of cutting-edge solar, wind, hydro-power, and other renewable-based technology. Programs/classes would be developed in coordination with Colorado School of Mines’ Renewable Energy, Environmental Engineering, and other departments, as well as the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), both in Golden, Colorado.

        These institutions, and possibly others, would both serve as a conduit for Inner-City youths in nearby Denver and Aurora interested in these fields as well as those graduating from MC3 (which would designed for people of all ages, backgrounds, ethnicities, etc.) wishing to complete a four year degree. Connections with other high level colleges, Cornell, Stanford, Harvard, MIT, internationally renowned engineering schools, etc., would also be sought

        Hatred of racism and rational, scientific destruction of false “scientific proof” of racism by the late paleontologist Stephen Jay Gould (the husband of my mother's best friend since childhood and an inspiration because of this, his fight against creationism and the balance he sought between acquiring and conveying knowledge) would be put to the test here. Racism, poverty, urban pollution, severely underfunded schools, violent crime, gestapo police, absurdly rigged kangaroo courts/ Third World “Justice” system, alcohol and destructive, addictive drugs, and broken families as a result of all this all contribute to keeping Blacks, Hispanics, Natives, Asians and others outside the cozy, protective, upper-class WASP circle of privilege and oppressing others down. Grounded, respectful, relationship with each other and the Earth is the goal.
