As a loyal fan of the New York Yankees and slugger soon to be retired DH Alex Rodriguez I ask that the New York Yankees retire Alex Rodriguez's number (#13) effective immediately. With nearly 700 homeruns and countless other achievements ARod is by far one of the most amazing players to wear pinstripes. In light of the "untimely" retirement of Mr. Rodriguez the Yankees can honor the contributions of Alex Rodriguez and the true ARod fans and guarantee no other Yankee player will ever wear #13. As fans of baseball, those who have admired ARod over the twenty-two years he contributed to the majors and for those who dislike ARod because unfortunately we know they exist, the #13 for the NYY will be worn by no other ever again.
