Players caught using PEDs (performance enhancing drugs) are given a suspension and barred from participating in the postseason. However, those charged with Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, or Child Abuse are given a suspension but are still allowed to play in any postseason games their team is in. Consequences for substance abuse are stricter than those for violence and abuse of others; children look up to their favorite players as role models and the only thing this teaches them is that they can get away with anything if they play well enough. This is bigger than baseball- it is a human rights issue, and passively excusing the guilty enables them once again.
