There are animals roaming all over the highway, dogs, horses, bears, cows, deer. The speed limit is 80k and presents significant danger to animals, commuters and drivers. Two bear cubs were hit last week, multiple dogs are picked up daily on the highway and many accidents have taken place though the years and it is only getting busier. The speed limit needs to be reduced to 60k to help give these animals a fighting chance and less of a risk of danger for commuters. Living on this highway stretch is very dangerous when pulling out of driveways as the highway is more frequently travelled than it has ever been before and these matters are becoming progressively worse. Take action now and let’s keep the highway safe for all living beings.
