Mitcham council please fix the Blackwood EV charger.

Mitcham council please fix the Blackwood EV charger.
The issue
The EV community clearly loves the initiative of the Mitcham council to put a FREE charger in the centre of Blackwood, but we are increasingly concerned that the company currently contracted to install and maintain the charger, is not able to provide timely service and repairs given that they are an interstate company who must fly in technicians which can take months.
This coupled with the fact that the technicians have confirmed that the user provided cables must be unplugged in the correct order to prevent the system from easily becoming inoperable, while providing absolutely no signage on the unit to communicate this to users. Instead only making a post on PlugShare which was quickly lost, a very poor effort on their part.
Now, after the unit being fully serviced and repaired only a few weeks ago, both of the two charging ports are again already non functioning.
We would like to bring to the council's attention that despite their attempt at making such a fantastic investment in the new technology, their contractor is failing to deliver a reliable service and this has been going on to a greater or lesser extent since the unit was installed.
Repeated attempts by the EV community to resolve the issue with the contractor through their call line have had mixed and slow results.
Please sign below so that we can take this petition to the council to demonstrate the high demand for their brilliant investment, and simultaneously the growing frustration in the community with the current contractor.
We would love to see this amazing community service functioning correctly, either by the current contractor improving their quality of service and the resilience of their installed hardware, or a new contractor being engaged.
Thanks for your support everyone!
