Bring Back the Old Wildcat Logo and "Power K" to UK Athletics Uniforms and Fan Gear

Bring Back the Old Wildcat Logo and "Power K" to UK Athletics Uniforms and Fan Gear
The Issue
University of Kentucky Athletics is a tremendous source of pride to students, alumni and fans across the Commonwealth and beyond. As such, the uniforms and logos of The Wildcats should live up to the proud tradition of the Kentucky name.
The current Wildcat logo (cheap Kansas State knockoff) resembles a staple remover or two birds engaging in missionary-position sexual intercourse. It is an embarrassment within the NCAA community and not fit to be worn by the student-athletes of the University of Kentucky. Bring back a true Wildcat logo to UK athletics! Give the fans a logo to be proud of.
For over 40 years, the Power K helped establish a recognizable and respected brand that is uniquely a part of the University of Kentucky. The shift to a "crooked K" logo has been an unfortunate blight on a once elegant feature of UK uniforms. A return to the Power K is a sensible and necessary change that needs to be made.
Athletic Director Mitch Barnhart and University of Kentucky President Eli Capilouto should address and remediate these problems by bringing back an older version of the Wildcat logo and shifting from the "crooked K" logo to the "Power K".
Bring back the old Wildcat logo and Power K to honor the proud history and tradition of University of Kentucky Athletics. Restore our rightful logos to their prominent places on the jerseys of UK student-athletes.
