Dear #nogologo supporters,
A quick update on the MIT Sloan logo saga. The Dean sent us an email today informing of a revision in their proposed logo, taking into consideration the adverse alumni opinion against the slanted "I".
"...I am writing to share the final decision about one small element of a broader branding initiative. We are certain that this version of the logo visualizes core elements of a broad and bold strategy for MIT Sloan, which focuses on amplifying the School’s point of distinction and differentiation: its connection to the world’s greatest research institution.
For the next phase of work we will continue to offer many opportunities for thoughtful and constructive conversations with interested members of our community."
"The Office of External Relations will be sharing an update on the branding initiative in its next issue of ENews later this week. "
This change in the logo does show that the administration is taking our feedback into consideration. Thank you all for your continuous support and do continue to share your thoughts with the MIT Sloan administration on this and other matters.
Enjoy your summer,
Eswar Mani MBA '08
