Dear Sloanies,
Your response to this petition has been absolutely amazing. Thanks to all your efforts, we submitted the petition after receiving 1,101 signatures with a summary of your comments to Dean Schmittlein and the other MIT Sloan Branding Committee members.
I had met them in person last Thursday to provide a verbal summary and formally submitted the petition yesterday evening. Please sign up to the Sloan Impact FB page to take a look at the message and attachments sent to MIT Sloan admin.
The Dean wrote he will respond next week. Cathy Canney who has led this rebranding effort mentioned over a call on Monday that if the logo has a negative impact on reputation or brand they would change it "within a year or two". To me this represents the flexibility.
I would recommend all of you to email your comments to the following three decision makers/influencers. Kindly keep the tone of the email constructive as a few members of the rebranding team have taken the negative feedback quite personally.
Please email:

Kristina Schaefer kgsch@mit.edu
Cathy Canney canney@mit.edu
Many thanks for your support,
