There are hundreds of thousands of people who received the benefit of Dr Lewin's lectures online via MITx and OCW.

There are millions more who would in future.

By removing that content, MIT is obstructing the progress of society and restricting knowledge.

The question of Dr Lewin's behavior and charges of sexual assault are irrelevant to the content of his lectures.

I personally completed a course on MITx last year and in my opinion (shared by millions of students), Dr Walter Lewin is by far the best teacher I have encountered. 

The world loses a great treasurehouse of learning if this content is unavailable.
