The Dekalb County Sheriff and Deputies have a pattern of violating individual constitutional rights with illegal stops, illegal searches, verbal threats and witness intimidation. The Prosecutor's office routinely charges people even though they know there are problems with the department (such as not a single officer being formally commissioned). This department needs to be investigated to the fullest extent of the law. The Sheriff and Deputies who have turned a blind eye to the behavior of deputies who have assaulted, harassed, stalked and in one case, SHOT the citizens of Dekalb county need to be removed. I personally have been threatened and harassed by this department, including threats to "get me, get my son, get my friends"; I have been called a criminal for standing up for my rights, my families rights and for participating in the court process as is my right and my requirement as a citizen (I was under subpoena). This department either refuses to take citizen complaints or simply ignores complaints. Please join me in calling for an independent investigation into this department and its abuse of power.
