The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) arbitrarily limited the number of cannabis cultivation licenses to the minimum number allowed under Amendment 2.  The process of awarding these licenses is marred in controversy, incompetence and corruption.  Many qualified, professional Missouri citizens have been left out of this burgeoning market.  In a time of great economic uncertainty and sky-high unemployment brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic, this is no time for  state regulators to suffocate a new Missouri industry.  Right now, we are realizing the need to bring medicinal manufacturing back from China and closer to home. This is not the time to limit medicinal manufacturing in Missouri.  DHSS must lift the arbitrary cap it has put on medicinal marijuana cultivation licenses for the good of Missourians.  Missourians are dying everyday from the opioid crisis and Missouri regulators have capped the remedy to the scourge.  LIFT THE CAP ON MISSOURI MARIJUANA CULTIVATION and let the free-market do its job.
