Boris Abadzhyan, a Missouri based politician, has been spreading hateful speech in his social media accounts against Turkish and Azerbaijani community in the United States. He is specifically attacking Ahiska Turks who have immigrated to the US in 2004-2007 from Russia after a long history of political and human rights violations against them in Russa. Ahiska Turks have been living in the US as proud citizens of the United States of America, and have found the social and political climate receptive, welcoming and embracing here. We are very happy to live in the US and consider us very lucky. Surely we do not want to carry the disputes from our old lands to the US. However, Boris Abadzhyan is doing exactly that, by posting shameful lies, hate speech, and threats. We, the Ahiska Turks living in America, condemn Boris Abadzyan's hateful and discriminating speech against our community and ask American citizens in St.Louis, MO residents to strongly object to his hurtful behavior, and make him apologize. He should be removed from his political party as his shameful behavior is not acceptable.
