Missouri Department of Corrections Officers are among the lowest paid in the nation. Over the years, state legislators have chipped away at benefits, including the state pension and health and dental insurance coverage and premiums. As a result, Corrections Officers numbers have plummeted and the hiring pools have become depleted .

It's time Corrections Officers statewide earn a living wage, affordable health and dental insurance, and a pension plan that is realistic.
