Jackson MS and its suburbs give a population as of the 2010 census roughly 252,000 people. Which is quite a lot. I think we could see a period of regrowth if we add tourism. This would happen, because the state could tax the tourist attractions, so then we could repair & upgrade our infrastructure. We could repair our education system to its former glory. We could help the poor find stable jobs to add to the economy. We could do so much by adding tourism, because tourism will also create business for local businesses. Restaurants, entrepreneurs, small businesses, hotels, and more can benefit from tourism. I am saying we can fix everything with tourism.
