Please help save the lives of non-violent, non- habitual offenders who don't stand a chance against covid19 as it ravishes our prison system and jails. My good friend, Francis Gollott inmate #17062, is about to die in prison because noone will listen to us. Family, friends and even certain congressmen, have tried to get the attention of mdoc, to no avail. Francis has a terminal illness. He has PHA which affects the heart and lungs. Without his medications, which MDOC will not pay for, he is only expected to live less than a year. If he catches COVID19 he Is a dead man. At home he can quarentine and get the medications to live years longer. He is not a violent offender, only had a substance abuse problem. The prisons in our state are being overtaken by this virus. One regional correctional facility has 90% of the population sick. As I write this another one dies. Why? We have video surveillance and monitoring that allows inmates to be at home. Please help the ones in prison who will never get to see freedom again because the medical staff at MDOC is not compassionate at all to the ones they should be. Please help my friend is going to die in prison. Yours may too.
