In the last two weeks Harrison County alone has had several calls on animal hoarding, unlicensed breeding for profit and major acts of cruelty and neglect and one of those was allegedly from a respected animal rescuer who ran a known rescue that was routinely networked with other rescuers who had no idea of what lurked when no one else was looking. 

I have sent a proposal to many of our state Senators, Representatives, Mayors, the Governor, local media outlets and more. This proposal would implement an audit system where auditor would act similar to health inspectors. They would go to each shelter, rescue, breeder, boarder and more to go through a checklist to ensure the well-being of the companion animals in there care.

I'm hoping this petition will send a message to the law makers of this state that we are tired of the relaxed indifference to torture and neglect.
