Ejaz Choudry was a father of four. He was brutally shot multiple times by the the Peel Regional Police during a wellness check in Mississauga. He suffered from schizophrenia and many other illnesses. His children and family were robbed of him far too soon. 

The officers who shot Ejaz did not properly try to deescalate the situation and rather opted for excessive force. Not only did they not try to get a translator to attempt to calm down Ejaz but they also worsened the situation by screaming at a frail old man who was only a danger to himself. Three able bodied cops decided that their only course of action was to shoot a mentally ill 62 years old man in the comfort of his own home. 

Please sign this petition to demand a public inquiry for the murder of Ejaz Choudry. We need to demand the immediate suspension and investigation of the cops involved in this heinous crime. We must demand police accountability as excessive police force seems to have become a pattern. We must demand for a better system that does not prey on the most vulnerable members of our society. We must demand change. We must demand justice for Ejaz.
