On November 4, 2023, Jared McColloch left his home in Marion, LA to visit his son in Salem, IL area. Jared did arrive in the early morning hours of November 5, 2023 to the Salem, IL area.  It is alleged that he never made it to his intended destination. Jared was spotted on different cameras at gas stations, with the last sighting in Carmi, IL at around 8:30 am. Jared's cell phone records indicate that at least his phone traveled north of Carmi, IL with the last phone call being at 11:00 am in St. Francisville, IL. Tragically, his 2020 GMC Truck and two beloved dogs were found the next day (11/6/23) in a very rural area of Knox County, IN just across state lines without a trace of Jared. Currently, Knox County, IN is handling Jared's case. We feel it is crucial that this investigation be transferred to the Illinois State Police, Indiana State Police, or the FBI, in the hopes that they may be better equipped and have more resources to solve this heart-wrenching mystery.

In the U.S., 600,000 individuals go missing every year (National Missing and Unidentified Persons System), an overwhelming number for any local police department to deal with. Turning over Jared's case to a larger, more specialized force might increase the chances of finding him.

The pain of not knowing what happened to a loved one is a pain no one should have to bear. By transferring this case to the Illinois State Police, Indiana State Police or the FBI, we hope to finally bring peace to Jared's family. Please, we urge you to sign this petition and use your voice to make this change happen. Help us bring Jared home.

**** At this time being able to perform searches or proper full investigations into Jared's disappearance are hindered by state lines and lack of resources in the areas involved.  It has been difficult to acquire search teams that are available to search in areas of interest.  The familiy is very thankful to everyone that has traveled this long road with them.  You can find updates on the Facebook site Finding Jared McColloch.

The  family has already had to lay one child to rest.  Please help them bring Jared home.  No matter the outcome.  Jared is a son, father, nephew, cousin and beloved friend to many.

**** Thank you all for continuing to sign and share Jared's petition.  I believe together we will bring him home.  We are getting closer each day.  Lets remind them that Jared matters.  All of our missing loved ones matter.

****We are urging Knox County, Indiana at minimal to change the status of Jared's case from missing person to criminal.  There is enough substantial evidence to point in this direction.  This will enable them to properly obtain warrants and interview known suspects.
