The aim of this petition is to make meat-free and vegan options available at the canteen on Mondays.

Currently, about 130 million chickens are slaughtered every day for meat, and 4 million pigs. Animals are treated as objects that are there for our use and pleasure, rather than fellow sentient beings. Most factory-farmed animals have been genetically manipulated to grow larger or to produce more milk or eggs than they naturally would. The way in which we treat them, regardless of whether the meat is factory farmed, free-range or organic, is abhorrently cruel. Going vegan saves 200 animals per year.
