With all the terrible tragedies and events that have been happening in our community and surrsurrounding communities, our children are fearful of going to school and feeling unsafe. This is something that should not be happening. School is supposed to be one of the safest place for your children. I would like MISD to take into consideration in installing metal detectors in all schools for the students, teachers, and anybody wishing to come on campus to pass through before entering the facility.

And also consider adding working functional camera in all campuses and keeping them maintained. This is to help keep our children and teachers in our community safe.

Why? Well, why not? What would it hurt. This is to help ensure our children reach their full potential and complete school without the fear of someone having a weapon on campus.

Odessa has started a petition on this and I think we should as well.

It's little changes like this, we, the community can make a more peaceful environment for our kids.
