The Issue

Dear people of the world, I would like to add a new word to the Miriam-Webster Official English dictionary. My new word is "souveniric" (adj). The word "souveniric" describes that an object/item has values of souvenirs and ancient things, not any currency; the item also could hold deep sentimental value with someone or multiple people. This word is for when words like "priceless" and "valuable" don't seem like the correct words to use. For example, "The medallion in the British Museum is souveniric", and "anything as souveniric as this is simply unbearable to look at without wanting to own it". I know this word may seem odd, but I think this would be a good addition to the official English dictionary. I have struggled with trying to find good words to use in place of "irreplaceable", "incomparable", etc, so I figured creating a new word to represent all aspects of rarity and valuableness would be a great idea. Even though you are probably reading this thinking "souve- what now? That sounds ridiculous! Who would ever use that word?", I think this will be helpful for people who want to expand their vocabulary and find the most specific, describing words for their situation and what they may be trying to explain. Though I am only an eighth grader, I have high hopes for this petition! I hope these words help you decide to help me in my journey to make "souveniric" an official word! This may sound unprofesional, but please. Don't. Take. My. Credit. I have evidence that I created this word and definition, so please do the right thing and don't pretend this work is yours. Anyway, I know that was a lot, but if you would like to sign this petition, that would make my day! If you are opposed to signing, that is completely fine! Many thanks, Makena Weston. (If this somehow gets famous, I would literally be so happy)
