Minnesota State Legislature: Repeal the Certificate of Need for Large Energy Facility

The Issue

Since its conception in the 20th century, nuclear energy has grown and advanced. Yes, there have been disasters, but mankind has learned from its mistakes. Current research on nuclear reactors and new technology now makes the use of nuclear energy essentially risk free. It is the only alternative energy source that is able to provide base-load power to the masses. If society continues with the current level of energy consumption, the use of nuclear energy is the only logical option. There are bills already introduced into the Minnesota Legislature that will repeal the ban on building new nuclear power plants. Sign this petition to get it done!
