As a relativity younger member of the LGBT community, I find it important to myself as well as future generations that adequate educational curricula and information are provided for LGBT youth across the state of Minnesota. If this petition were to come to fruition and make change for the better of the youth in our state, it will not only improve well being and overall health of LGBT youth, but also provide a look inside of our community to heterosexual youth who might no understand what struggles LGBT youth face. A new policy would include education on the basis of Safe LGBT sexual education, but also include relationship information and curricula on gender and sexuality acceptance. If a bill like this isn't passed students will continue to be in the dark about sexual education. Currently the best thing that I've found is to go online. I personally believe that the internet should not be the only source on information available to our youth. We all know that the internet can be misleading and false. I ask you as a human being, parent, ally, friend, do you want LGBT youth to grow up in the dark about their sexual ordientation, or do you want our community's youth to feel included and well educated about their sexuality and relationships? If you believe in the cause of every LGBT students equal education and rights than please sign this petition to insure the safety of our community's  youth for generations to come.
