Amy Evans started this petition to Minnesota State High School League

The Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) has voted against allowing traditional state competitions for all high school fall sports.  We are asking MSHSL to reverse this decision so that our athletes can participate in a state championship swim and dive meet.

Swim and Dive was deemed a low-risk sport by the Minnesota Department of Health and has been allowed to compete safely this fall with new regulations implemented to specifically respond to COVID-19.  We ask that we are able to finish our season as we are accustomed to - with a state championship meet.  This slice of normalcy is more important now than it ever has been.  Our athletes have trained for these moments.  For our graduating seniors, there won't be a next year; their moment is now.  Please stand behind them.  Please sign our petition to let members of the MSHSL board know that we are united in our desire for our swimmers and divers to safely compete in a post-season this year.
