Roz Peterson Where: LTD Brewing, 8 8th Ave N, Hopkins, MN 55343 When: 1pm – 5pm, Sunday, May 1st, 2016 LTD Brewing and Minnesota consumers are teaming up to collaborate on a special beer release that allows consumers to show their activism as they sip a Sunday Sales Pale Ale. The locally produced craft beer is both an act of progress and symbol of inspiration and achievement for Minnesota brewers and consumers. The beer symbolizes the how far local alcohol laws have progressed, but the fact that the beer can only be sold on Sunday from a taproom illustrates how far the rest of the state needs to go to catch up. Adorned with artwork from Minneapolis-based Adam Turman, the 750ml bottles will be released at the LTD Brewing taproom on Sunday, May 1st. Sunday Sales Pale Ale is a passion project for us,” says LTD Brewing Owner/Brewer Blake Verdon. “Like everyone in the Minnesota craft brewing industry, we were consumers before we were producers. Collaborating on a beer to further the efforts to legalize Sunday liquor sales in Minnesota is our way of supporting the consumers that support us.” Sunday Sales Ale is an American Pale Ale comprised of Golden Promise, American 2-row and light crystal malts that are delicately balanced by a trio of Citra®, Centennial and Cascade hops providing a flavorful and aromatic bouquet of citrus, tropical fruit, floral and spice aromatics. Minneapolis-based artist Adam Turman created the artwork for the limited-release bottle. The bottle is wrapped in maroon and gold, with lots of symbolic imagery. 52 points in the starburst, a hop plant for each day of the week, 7 stars, and the state of Minnesota wrapped in a patriotic banner. “Sunday sales must happen in Minnesota,” says artist Adam Turman.”Customers should have the right to purchase the products they love any day of the week.
