The Autram Ghat section of the NH-211 (Now NH-52) lies between its 376th and 390th km and crosses the Gautala Autramghat Wildlife Sanctuary.

This road witness daily traffic of heavy to small vehicles, and considered as most dangerous ghat due to land slides, traffic, and sharp turns. Not only this, but it also slows down the traffic due regular traffic jams. The ghat has already taken life of thousands of humans, as well as wild animals. Due to the continuous traffic jams, the vehicle consumes 4 to 5 times more fuel than the average fuel that a vehicle will consume for the same distance otherwise.

The tunnel for the ghat was approved, in principally approved and DPR is under process from long long time, but there is no concrete decision is taken by Central or State Government.

The construction work of the tunnel in the ghat shall be started on most urgent basis, without any further delays to ease driving experience, save human life and save fuel cost.
