I love our culture and our traditions and how we celebrate but I don't love how we leave our environments and more so what we leave behind. These pics are from the Divali Nagar site taken on 6/11/18. It's beyond me how we carelessly dump our rubbish where-ever we feel like and carry on unbothered. Is it because we "know" someone else will clean it up? It's really astounding that we have embraced this throw-away mentality and sticking to it. There is an urgent need to enforce our littering laws, assign hefty fines, ban single use plastics and pass the beverage containers bills because voluntary compliance is now a far fetched dream in our country. Truly disappointed but a colleague suggested I wrote to the organization which I will definitely be doing to bring the awareness of what is happening. #planetorplastic
