I am so disappointed by my fellow Trinidadians today. Amidst our national crisis and our duty to care, people who were stuck on the UBH were served food and water but this was the aftermath. Double trouble!! (see pics below). Rubbish clogs up our drains, rivers and waterways and reduces the movement of water. Which in turn exacerbates the occurrence of flooding. We really have to be mindful and aware of why tragedies like these keeps happening to us. All of us who indiscriminately discard rubbish or fling thrash outta our windows or dump old appliances and tires and furniture etc, you are contributing to our demise. Let's do our part.
