OUR STRUGGLE - GRATUITY FOR ALL AT ₹20/LACS WEF 01/01/2016 ENTERS SECOND YEAR.
Exactly one year back we started our struggle to impress upon the GOVERNMENT TO TREAT ALL EMPLOYEES AT PAR in extending the Enhanced Gratuity at ₹20 Lacs WEF 01/01/2016 on equal footage with Central Employees.
Our movement was a PIONEER in creating awarenesses amongst discriminated retirees from PSBs, PSUs, PSEs, Pvt. Sectors, most of whom are poor Senior Citizens Retired between 01/01/16 to 28/03/18 all over the country. More than 1 lakh people signed this petition to draw the attention of the Govt. about the DISCRIMINATIONS to lacs of Senior Citizens. Despite this petition and various programs like Post Card Campaign, Complaints in govt portals, individual letters to PM, Finance Ministers, Labour Minister, Law Minister, Meeting of several sitting MPs, Central Ministers, Party Presidents, Secretaries, Press Officials, the Government which speaks of all achievements, Labour Reforms etc., CHOOSE to keep SILENT and remain ADAMANT to heed the appeals of several lakh of Senior Citizen Retirees. It is BLINDLY following the previous Government's BAD PRACTICE of PROSPECTIVE Date of Effect of Gratuity Ceiling, restricting the increased Ceiling of Social Security Benefits only to Government Employees several years earlier, which is not TENABLE and ACCEPTABLE by any standard and UNCONSTITUTIONAL. It is nothing but an ACCOMODATION to few Private Sector Employers Lobby at the cost of poor WORKING CLASS. Surprisingly No Communist Parties or Workers Unions strongly condemned or opposed this PROSPECTIVE DATE OF EFFECT ON GRATUITY which is going on for decades whenever the Amendment was done to Gratuity Act. PARITY PREVAILS in Ceiling Amount But DISPARITY in EFFECTIVE DATE of Higher Ceiling is the practice goes on UNCHECKED by the so called Saviours of Workers/Employees, viz. Communists & Trade Unionist. They sell ONIONS to Members of Unions & when their (Leaders) skins are peeled (exposed), it brings TEARS in the EYES of Members who paid subsistence amount in the form of SUBSCRIPTIONS for Decades. ALL THESE STATEMENTS ARE TRUE, which are the feedbacks expressed by members of various Unions across different sectors/industries spread all over the country. A TOTAL LET DOWN BY EMPLOYEES' REPRESENTATIVES (UNIONS) & PEOPLE REORESENTATIVES (GOVERNMENT). Now Several Groups of affected employees have approached various Courtsts in the Country & almost all Writs have been ADMITTED BY COURTS and ordered to send Notices to the Union ofIndia/various Employers. Hearings of cases slated on different dates. NO DOUBT THIS FORUM HAS CREATED AWARENESS TO UNITE AND FIGHT against Government, Employers & Defunct Unions/Associations. After one year of continuous engagements with Government, legal actions, Reminding Government daily through Social Media especially through Twitter Handles of PMO, Finance Ministry, Labour Ministry, Law Ministry, BJP party, personal twitter handles of PM, FM, LM, BJP President and other Ministers/MPs enough pressure has been built up and their moral responsibility is highlighted. Our Struggle in Diplomatic as well as Legal Channels continues. Our only AIM IS TO ACHIVE OUR GOAL GRATUITY HIKE FOR ALL WEF 01/01/2016 by UNTIRING STRUGGLE.
