We want to ensure that every TV viewers get free-of-cost government channels.

The Issue

Several TV viewers in India use private setup boxes. We have to compulsorily recharge on regular basis even if we want to view only government channels like RSTV , LSTV , DD News, DD sports, DD Kisan, etc and not the private ones. This is the complete violation of our right to information and indirectly of the right to equality at per with the viewers of public set box (DD direct). It's important to know that millions of citizens in India depend completely on such public channels for understanding and analysing the government happenings ,get aware with the current affairs and many more TV programmes disseminated by Prasar Bharti , RSTV and LSTV. Hence the time has come to appeal the central government under Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India to ensure the free-of-cost telecast of all the Public TV channels on every set-up box (whether public or private) without any condition of recharge.
