Separation of Religion and the State in Singapore

Separation of Religion and the State in Singapore
Singapore has strived and progressed as a secular society based on democracy, free speech and religious practice.
In recent days certain religion has begin asserting their influence in matters of society specifically on issues like Repeal 377A and protest against Black Metal Band .
Such oppressive behaviour based on their biased archaic religious dogma against peaceful groups goes against the principles of free and progressive society of Singapore.
Religion is never the beacon of moral values as exemplified by cases of religious organisation fraud cases in Singapore as well as pedophiliac, rape and molest cases by religious heads in other countries
Singapore government must put a stop to this interference of religion onto the secular society of Singapore , stop the influence of religious dogmas onto free believers and make State decision based on what’s right and acceptable for modern and progressive society.
